Religiomics is Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Postdoctoral Fellowship project based at the University of Bologna in collaboration with Harvard University and Université de Lausanne (ID 101149839). It focuses on the relationship between religion and comics. RELIGIOMICS will address the following questions: (1) How do comics artists live and represent religion and spirituality? (2) How does the comics medium shape, and how is it shaped by, religion and spirituality? (3) How are religious narratives and symbols experienced by the audiences of comics? (4) How did religion favour the emergenceof the semi-autonomous artistic field of highbrow comics in tension with commercial comics?
